Fishburns

Turnover (£m): 19
RPL (£k): 238

Niche insurance firm Fishburns posted an 11 per cent increase in turnover last year, up from £17.1m to £19m, with the firm’s Dublin office posting a significant growth in fees.

The results follow a £3m revenue increase between 2009-10 and 2010-11, meaning turnover has risen by 34.7 per cent in just two years.

Overall Fishburns grew its headcount slightly during the year, although its partnership held steady at 18. The firm added a Bristol office at the end of the financial year, a clear target for growth in the current year and over the next few years.

Fishburns converted to LLP status at the beginning of the 2011-12 financial year. However, it was able to pay for both this process and the new Bristol office without turning to equity partners for a cash call.
