Wiggin

Turnover (£m): 11.4
RPL (£k): 292

Wiggin managing partner John Banister shook up the media boutique last year by introducing a new five-year strategy with the goal of making it the best corporate media firm in the UK. The Cheltenham-headquartered firm is also considering launching a number of media-related alternative business structures.
Banister began putting the building blocks

in place last year with a significant investment in people. That took its toll on net profit and average profit per equity partner, but Wiggin’s revenue grew by almost 6 per cent to £11.4m.

Banister has overhauled Wiggin’s management structure, introducing a team where he sits with two senior partners and the chief operating officer. This team handles the majority of Wiggin’s decision-making and also allocates the 10 per cent profit pool of its modified lockstep system.

The firm has boosted its impressive client roster with some new computer games clients. Other clients include BBC Worldwide, Warner Bros and Universal Pictures.
