Taylor Walton’s turnover dropped slightly ­during the 2010-11 financial year, falling by just under 2 per cent to £7.95m from £8.2m in 2009-10.

The firm, which has offices in Harpenden, Luton and St Albans, experienced a similar fall in 2009-10, when turnover was down by 1.2 per cent on 2008-09’s. The slight drops followed a significant 23.1 per cent fall between 2007-08 and 2008-09.

Given the firm’s focus on property work, which accounts for a little less than half of its practice, the lack of growth is unsurprising. Outside of real estate the firm also has a well-regarded employment practice.

Taylor Walton’s client base features a mixture of local and multinational entities, including Capital Group, Barnardo’s, Fujifilm and the University of Hertfordshire.
