Kemp Little may have slid a place or two down The Lawyer’s UK 200 ranking, but that speaks more about the entry of additional firms than growth problems at London’s leading technology boutique.
Total turnover grew last year by 13 per cent, from £6.8m to £7.7m. For the current year the firm is confidently projecting a repeat of that double-digit growth, powered by high levels of activity in its core TMT sectors along with the fruits of its successful broadening of services to include competition and regulatory, employment and tax.
Kemp Little’s longstanding faith in having the most up-to-date internal systems possible and the business infrastructure to support its development was underlined this summer by the hire of finance specialist Andrew O’Brien, formerly of Linklaters and Deloitte, as financial controller, as well as Siddhartha Mankad, Boodle Hatfield’s director of operations and IT, as it first chief operating officer. Mankad joined Kemp Little as a fixed-share partner.
